"The explosion of e-learning has led numerous institutions to collaborate in online course development, in the sharing of courses and, some even, in joint program creation. The National Centre for Health Training, or Centre national de formation en santé (CNFS) is a partnership between six post-secondary institutions, advised by health organizations and community representatives from across Canada."

The aim is to develop educational programs to train francophone health professionals. The program mixes distance education, online courses and on-site bimodal courses.
